Leaving on a Jet Plane, don't know when She'll be Back Again.

Thats my baby girl, She flew out on Tuesday night for 'adventure' and to slay dragons (long story) but that's what I say when I get asked 'Why'? She's gone to live in Melbourne for a bit.
I am still getting over it, don't know if I will, but today I came to the realization that - I gave her wings, encouraged her to be an individual and to be an independent women and that she is. I just hope she finds contentment and what she wants and comes back and settles in the West.
So I am fighting lots of mixed feelings atm.
I love you Erin 'unconditionally',,,, 'Fly Be Free'.

A Little bit of Sharing.

Collections Elements would have to be my most favourite of products and Julie is always coming up with new products. Had a little play with some of her new goodies before she went to Melbourne Paper Arts. Here are her new flourishes and the ornate keys are unbelievable. It's a floating frame, the area around the photo and between the two frames is clear, the photo was taken a black background.
Some of you may recognise the child in the photograph,,, it's Max's daughter Lauren.

Happy Birthday Liam

Well the eldest of my male children turned 19 on Wednesday. Oh my goodness time, where does it go. He had a few mates over for a bbq and a few drinks. Then off about 9pm to party on at Hillarys. He's the tall one, center back. My poor little camera it really has a hard time keeping up with hyper kids. LOL

Page 56

Meet Seinna my neighbour's daughter. She is beautiful looking, with a beautiful genuine heart and soul also. And growing even more beautiful everyday. A big reason why my layout would of been chosen for the cover.
The colour in the mag was slightly off, but I am still thrilled. I don't submit often anymore and was delighted when the talented Jeni O'Connor asked me to do a layout for the new 'What's Your Style', feature in Scrapbook Creations. Keep your eye on it as there is a lot of talented guest artist coming up.

A Little Braggn'

Issue #47 Scrapbook Creations. THE COVER.
That's me,,, well my layout.
It came out a couple of week ago but with no Internet access I couldn't post.
I'm still getting a buzz.

We're 'outa there'

Oh my goodness, it's been ages. I hope you didn't give up on me. Life took on a full speed ahead mode, but hopefully things will settle for a while.
We have now moved house, so I am living in bedlam atm, very slowly getting some organization into the new house. It must have taken us a week to move. I finally finished cleaning the old house at about 11.20pm on Monday night.
The lead up was huge also, I seemed to be collecting boxes for weeks prior and the moving date was always changing. Everything seemed to come at once, when we finally got the word we could move, I had the preparations for the Scrapboxx retreat, my teaching commitments at Scraptivate, along with whatever other scrapping and non scrapping commitments I had, as well as working. I feel I have been chasing my tail for a couple of months. Hopefully things will settle down from now on.
I somehow managed to hurt my back during the last end of the move and have been crippled since Tuesday afternoon. So that has put a stop to progress here in the new place. I am not one for running off to the doctors easily, (for myself anyway). But I got such a fright, the pain was unbearable. I was more worried about work than anything else because I had had some extra time off for the move. Poor Natalie. (the joys of running your own business,,, hey!!!!)
I have had no time on the computer which doesn’t matter anyhow as we had no internet access. Max has been sending emails for me. I won’t go into it but we ended up having no home phone or internet for over a week before we moved and over a week after the move. It did have its benefits in one way; it meant that there were no computer distractions for Rick while moving, so he was a great help while moving, he also took a week off, I don’t know how we would of done it without that time.
The weekend before last was the Scrapboxx retreat, Max and I stayed an extra night down there as we were exhausted and didn’t want to drive 4 hours home to Perth tired. The classes were a huge hit and Max and I learned a couple of hard lessons as to how much we put into our classes and what we get in return.
We got internet access yesterday and now there is a rush for the computer. I will post some more over the next day or so.
Sending Love,,, Audrey xx

A Quick One

Just popping in before I go to work to share.
I'm sure most of you can relate to this - sometimes if it has been a long time between creating or the mojo is on the go slow, I might play a little with paint, or something to try get it going, not always successfull might I say. Anyway yesterday I spent some time at Max's for some quality girl time and some creating. We didn't get much creating done but I did start on this one, been meaning to try a 6"x12" layout for a while now and quite happy with the result. The photos were taken at the Christina Aguilera concert which was another 'girl time moment'. Have a great weekend. x

Aussie Dares

There is a new Dare challenge up at How Dare You
This is mine, the main photo's not great, sorry, the theme for this dare is 'From the Garden',you had to use something from the garden, hence the twigs. The canvas is about 5x7cm in size so this is a tiny piece.

Sunday again and Fathers Day

I had a great week this week, hope you did too. Happy Fathers day to all you Dads out there.
Max and I have had a full on couple of weeks preparing classes for the retreat Maria from Scrapboxx has organised for October, in beautiful Margaret River in the south of Western Australia. So this is another reason I haven't had much to share creative wise lately, but I have been real busy creating and can share a couple of sneak peeks of what we are doing down there. I also have my Christmas Card workshop I have created to teach at Scraptivate this month and then one class a month until Christmas. I will share some peeks of that a little later.
It's looking like Sundays might be my day to update my blog, the computer is usually been hogged by Rick at night and I'm usually to tired to fight for it anyway,,, LOL.
So just in case I don't get back on here for a week have a good one.
To all those people who have emailed me to comment on my blog because they are not able to leave a comment, THANKYOU. I think I have fumbled around the settings and hopefully you can in the future if you wish to.
Sending Love
Audrey
