Buddies

Hi there back again with my second layout for February for 49 and Market

I used a combination of Vintage Artistry - Coral and Blush in this layout.

The photos were taken during a little photo shoot my son did with Cadence, my granddaughter and our much loved dogs, Toby and Lola. When looking at them I have a little giggle as I remember how tricky it was to get everyone to sit still, look at the camera and cooperate all at the same time. It certainly wasn't happening! With a giggly 3yr old and our two rescued puppies that day!! But the collection of images he captured are priceless.

I also used the miniature version the Vintage Artistry - Coral papers, in 6x6" size. I actually started out only using the tones of Coral but while playing around with placement I thought it needed a little pop of something else. And that's when noticing the little flower in Cadence's hair I thought of the pinks in the Vintage Artistry Blush Collection

From the base page - Vintage Artistry Coral - Love Letters up, I layered sheets from the Coral 6x6 collection. Sticking them in place slightly to the right of the page as I knew I wanted to use the pretty little spray of flowers from the laser cut sheet in the Vintage Artistry Blush 12x12 pack. No fussy cutting from this ol' girl anymore. The laser cut sheets are so finely cut, it's amazing!!

I tucked pieces from the ephemera pack and tags from the laser cut sheets here and there. I used silicone glue for the spray of flowers, to give them height.
I constructed a little collection of rub-ons from the Vintage Artistry Blush/Sage Transfers an the bottom right of the page and added the laser cut flower, arrow and seed beads.
To finish off I added the laser cut bunting, rub-on tiny seed beads,  words to the tabs and stripes to the top and bottom corners. As I've said before the rub-On packs are such good value and love how easily I can add them to my pages.

Did you know that most of 49 and Market Collection packs come in a 6x6 size? I love using them along side the bigger papers.
The rub on words are perfect for the index tabs tucked amongst your layout.

Us Three

Hi there, here is the first of two layouts for February for 49 and Market. This one is of myself and my brother and sister. We are very lucky and I'm very grateful to have a great relationship with them both. My brother lives in New Zealand so having a photo of us three together these days is very rare. That's me in the middle in both photos.
I love that my dad loved to take photos of us when we were younger. A lot of the photos are still on slides or are not the best of quality now. But we can still look back and reminisce together at photos from days gone by.

I used Vintage Artistry Wedgewood - Afterglow as my base for this layout.  I ripped the top an bottom off the  Vintage Artistry Wedgewood - Rarified and stuck that to the middle of the Afterglow page. Using the Afterglow as background, the burnt orange colour of helped the same tones stand out once the page came together.
I matted my photo on some white card, then matted it once more on the darker side of the Rarified paper. I added some scrap chippy to the back so that when it was stuck to the page it had a little height.
I also used the Rarified paper inside the Vintage frame with the hinge from the laser cut sheet in the Wedgewood 12x12 Collection pack.

I played with pieces from the Wedgewood Laser cut sheet and Emphemera pack to create the layers behind the photo. Once happy I glued it all in place then proceeded to arrange the floral embellishment to the left of the photo.
I like to add a little curve to the flowers and leaves before gluing them in place.
I cut the rub-ons I chose to use as these were done towards the end of construction. They are so easy to slide then rub here and there on a layout.
To finish I poked extra pieces of the ephemera pack here and there until I was happy. Placed some lase cut sequence and seed beads in place and a few of the stitch lines from the Roughly Sewn Rub-ons I love how they really do look like you've had the sewing machine out.

Finally I added a few of the pre-glued Wishing Bubbles and Baubles form the Coral pack along with the title and some dates.
I used the Wedgewood Washi Tape to cover the little panels in the picture reel I've used in the background. Such a quick and easy way to cover pieces.
How cool are the ink splodges from the Vintage Artistry Sky/Navy Rub-on Transfers and I'm totally loving the new Wishing Bubbles and Baubles.
One of my favourite rub-on designs from the Vintage Artistry Wedgewood Rub-Ons

It's a Beach Thing

Hi there. Here again with my second layout for January for 49 and Market.

It's well and truly summertime here in Australia. We are cooking right now here in Perth, cooking as in 'it's really hot outside'! I can't say I'm a real fan of the summertime here as the temperature can reach over 40 degrees Celsius. But I'm also fortunate to spend two to three weeks of the summer holidays in January away in the southwest of Western Australia, in a seaside town called Busselton. Where we spend the hot days by the pool or on the beach. That's where these beach shots were taken last year and as this post is published I will be there again. I feel very fortunate to be able to do this with my family, especially with so many people around the world not even being allowed out of the homes except for essential things. I'm so sorry if this is you or your family. I hope you find inspiration from my page and get to create soon. To take a moment for yourself.

I was lucky enough to receive together the NEW Vintage Artistry - Blush Mini Collection 12x12 Paper Pack and the NEW Vintage Artistry Collectors Edition Vol 1 to play with and just because it was a beach layout I had to throw in a small selection of Vintage Artistry - Shore.I love the photo frames on the laser cut sheet in the Blush Collections so I framed each photo with them. I used some scrap chipboard behind each photo to give the page some depth.

Once I decided on what papers to use I started with Paper 4 from the Collectors Edition pack as my base. I trimmed 1cm from three of the edges and about 2.5 from the other, on the Vintage Artistry Blush - Poised. I trimmed Paper 5 from the Collectors pack slightly smaller then stuck them all in place. I stuck the photos in place.

I used pieces from the laser cut sheet in the Blush pack and the Vintage Artistry Shore pack and played with placement. Once I was happy added curves to the leaves, petals and shells then glued them in place some silicon glue.

I added the doily rub-on's from the awesome pack of Vintage Artistry Blush/Sage Rub-on Transfers as  trims under laser cut pieces and onto tags tucked in place at the edges of the layout. I also added stips of stitching rub-ons from the Roughly Sewn sheet in White.Have you seen the NEW Wishing Bubbles and Baubles sets!?! Adorable tiny to medium size shiny pre glued dots, with words, images and plain coloours to adorn you pages and creations with. I finished off by adding these, the sequence laser cut pieces and the rub-on seed beads.

I also added rub-on words from each of the rub-on packs.
