Memories Made to Last - Album

Hi Audrey here once again with another album. This one is made using the 49 and Market’s Foundations Mixed-up Portrait Album in white. It's a lovely sturdy album with all the pages inside waiting to add what you wish. I love the crisp white against the beautiful bold colours of Summer Porch. Summer Porch 8x6 paper were a perfect fit for each page, leaving a white frame showing around most pages.

To start I choose which paper I wanted for each page, not forgetting one for the front cover. I go through the album page by page and glue them in place. I then choose what size mats for photos and glue them in place. I chose various square sizes for this one.
I decorated each page as if it was its own little layout. If Laser cuts or words overlapped the mats I made sure there was no glue on them so that photos can easily be slipped behind at a later date.
Once I was happy with each of the pages and the album was jammed packed full of Summer Porch goodies, I finished off by adding the occasional rub on transfer here and there, including a couple to finish off the front cover.

Meet Me at the Shore - Layout

Hey Everyone!

Audrey here. I had the privilege of playing with the NEW Summer Porch Collection for this layout. I love the bright and bold colour palette in this collection. To start, I used a dark navy colour from the Summer Porch 12x12 Solids Collection, as my base to frame the main layout. The main is actually the back of the cover page for the Summer Porch 12x12 Paper Collection. I love how 49 and Market don't waste any of their packaging. You can use just about all of it somehow. Whether it be a 12x12 piece of paper, like in this case or some fussy cutting elements and more.

I trimmed about 1cm from the edge of the main paper so there was a frame of the navy showing.
I matted my photo on a red from the Solids Collection Pack.
I played with placement of papers and laser cuts, on the main page and once happy I glued them in place. Starting first with papers from the Summer Porch 6x8 Paper Collection for the background. The seagull print is from the 12x12 Collection pack.
Mounting pieces give the page a little more depth.I use foam mount for the window, hot glue for the larger laser cut pieces and pva wet glue for the tinier pieces.
I LOVE  rub on transfers, I do tend to pop them on towards the end of my layouts or creations, adding that finishing touch. I will trim the transfer and even tuck it behind or overlap the design on paper etc. Along with some pieces from Summer Porch Ephemera.

Timeless Album Cover

Hi there, it's been a little while.

I did this one earlier this year and forgot to post on my blog.

Here's another Album from me, using Vintage Artistry Moonlit Garden. It's the most glorious collection. The tones are just perfect. I chose a Create an Album in Landscape for this one. Here's the front cover and spine.

I covered the inside and outside of the Create an Album - Wide Standard Album Cover - White using Moonlit Garden - 12x12 Collection Pack, papers, sanded the edges to distress a little. The cover is decorated using  a Cluster from the Vintage Artistry - Moonlit Garden - Cluster Kit. Omgosh!! I love using these clusters. Once constructed (which is very easy btw), they make for great additions to any page, album, journal, etc. It makes work quick and easy.

I added some scrunched Moonlit Garden 6x8 paper, scrunched and sanded to add a slightly aged look along with some laser cut chicken wire to the inside of the cluster frame.Left over leather type cord from Cluster kit, lace wrapped beads with frayed lace to make faux tassels and some Chipboard shapes and Epoxy stickers as trims on the spine of the album.
