And some more News

The classes are now sorted for Dusty Attic's very first retreat here in Perth. Yep I know it was all a big rush, but things are falling into place since there was a cancellation at the venue and Dusty accepted the spot. It was all meant to be.
For those that are attending there'll be five classes over the weekend. I'm excited to announce I will be teaching two of them.

A very male layout with lots of rustic tones.

And something Shabby for your creative space or around the home somewhere.

As soon as I get some pictures of the other tutors classes I'll share them to.
It's not to late to book, there is still a few spots remaining. Just email the girls on dustyattic.hq@gmail or visit the Dusty Attic Blog HERE

Summer's End

Well it's supposed to be, but the heat continues here as usual. Please don't think I am ungrateful but I want it over. I seem to be saying the following an awful lot lately, 'no you can't go outside, it's too hot. Wait until later, when the sun starts to go away'. Bless Missy's understanding. The reply comes so easily - 'ok my Dede' and off she trots to do something else.
Oh and one other thing, the FLIES!!!! Oh my gosh, I'm so over them!!

We're still finding interesting ways to beat the heat at home.

Come in the rain Grandad

More water play. The Fairy and the Bumble Bee, using all the old paddling pool water for the plants.
Cadence has a little friend called Kyden. They have such a gorgeous little friendship. I love watching and hearing them play together.

What THE!!! It's Febuary Already

It'll be Christmas again before we know it.
Here in Australia our school year starts now. So holidays are finished and it's back to school for Locky, my youngest and my last school age young person in the house. He's now in senior school, so a change of uniform top was in order, but he well and truly needed new school pants, so a small fortune was spent on preparations and supplies for school. Mind you, unlike a lot of my friends, it wasn't as high as some past years.

We're currently in our hot summer months, thank goodness for air-conditioning and water play.
Uncle Liam bought Cadence a water slide for Christmas, she absolutely loves it. There is no fear in this 2yr old and when it comes to water, she's definitely a water baby.
Please note - NO 2YR OLDS WERE HARMED WHILE PLAYING ON THIS WATER SLIDE ;)She came back for more after every slide.

On the creative front -
Here's this month's sketch for Dusty Attic

Nadia Cannizzo from Once Upon a Sketch BLOG and one of Dusty's AWESOME Design Team girls this year, has designed all the monthly sketches for this year. She's done another great sketch this month.
One thing I don't think I've mentioned in the past is - anyone can participate in Dusty's sketch challenge and each month one lucky participant wins a stash of Dusty Attic products.
To enter follow this link to the Ning Site - HERE
This month to spice it up a little, there's a TWIST TO THE CHALLENGE
Since it is February - the month of Love, when you enter the a sketch WITH a VALENTINE themed layout, you're in the running for some EXTRAS with the normal amazing Pack you can win. So get scrapping :)
