And the sketch

Yep,,, call the doctor, she did another layout this week ;)

I managed to do the Scrapping Clearly sketch challenge as well this week.
This layout may well have ended up in the bin. I really had to push myself forward to 'just keep going', it's a little like a Nanna's apple pie,,,, layer upon, layer, upon layer.
I'm glad I persevered. And the fact that, that was the only piece of black card in da house, helped.
The photo was taken at Erin's wedding I love how this photo worked out, it's one of my favourites and the layout will go in the album I'm compiling of the day.

Anyhoo, here's the Sketch
Come play along, there's still time.

And here's my take on it.

Picture Perfect
Other products used - Papers by- Websters, Cristina Re, (others unknown. Bazzill card. Tim Holtz crackle paint & stamps, gold embossing powder, seed beads, Treasure gold, Jo Sonja paint, glitter gel pen.

Hope you're getting some creative time for yourself.
Until next time.

Twice in a week,,, 'I know, right!!'

In a big effort to keep the mojo going I managed to complete another layout and a double at that,,,,,,,well to tell you the truth, the main pages were done and have been for about a year, tucked away in 'to be completed' file. So the photos were stuck down but not much else. When I seen this months mood board challenge colours for Scrapping Clearly, it prompted me to dig the layout out and get it finished.

That Hat

Cadence's first birthday cake smash photos were perfect for the colours chosen, actually her whole birthday theme suited, so I think there'll be more of these tones used in her album.

Making an effort

Hi. In an effort to blog and share more frequently I've added a little challenge to my creating. I find if I have deadlines to meet I create more. So,,,,, I'm trying to join and participate in online challenge sites. This month I joined  Scrapping Clearly 's Challenge by combining the Moodboard and Sketch. I love the colours. The grey was a challenge but managed to work it in there. Not the best shot of the main page, taken on my phone in a rush, For some reason the pic kept coming up very grey. Me and technology really don't get on most of the time. Got a new phone with an great megapixel taking camera, more than my first little digital camera. But do ya think I can work it out sometimes!!!!

Here's my take on the mood board.

One of my most favourite moments is 'quiet time' cuddles on the couch with Cadence. A quick photo captured on my phone, she's lost in the show on the t.v, wrapped in a blankie and cuddling her blankie ted from Uncle Liam and Abby. All relaxed and ready for bed.

Papers by - Kaiser Craft and Heidi Swapp(waaaayyyyyyy back ;).
Other products used - Heidi Swapp Color Shine, Kaiser Collectables, white spray paint.

I'm looking forward to this months when I get time to play. Go take a look, my creative friend Rikki does an amazing job on the mood boards. Even better why not play along :) there's still time. You could even try combining both.

Here's this month's Sketch & Mood Board Challenge at Scrapping Clearly

Here's the Mood Board challenge, these colours are divine.
This is Rikki 's Amazing Canvas she created using the mood board colours as inspiration!!!!

has some new chippy out, inspired the beautiful Boho style. I'm sure I was a gypsy in former life, I love this style.

This next layout is of my favourite little boys Kyden. Him and Cadence have had a great little friendship since they were very little. They went on a little adventure to the pines. Well,,,, Cadence brought her Dede and Kyden brought his Tutu.
You see, Tutu (my friend Jen) and Dede (me) thought it was a great place for a little photo shoot but the then 3yr olds had different ideas.
Tell you what! I admire all those who do those awesome photo shoots with kids. I was exhausted by the end of it and I'm sure I had pine needles where there shouldn't of been pine needles lol.
Anyway Ky and Cadence had better ideas and got way too busy looking for the fairies who had built there homes in the fallen down trunks of the trees.

It's such a magical age.
We're very lucky to live close to this place and every time either of the kids pass it,  its the Fairy Forrest to them :)

I'm determined to get lots of these photos scrapped, here's one of them.
Papers by - Bo Bunny
Other products used - Jo Sonja paint, Tim Holtz film strip.

I found the cutest lil' fairy poem, but I had to add a little line to it. Hope the author doesn't mind.

I've had this one for a little while but just needed something to finish it off. The Sense of Wonder quote was perfect for this photo. A photo taken of Cadence when we were on a beach in Lanclin.

Papers by - Maja Design, Prima, Bazzill Card
Other products used - lace, muslin, braid, paper doily, paint.

Other news I'm excited to share is that I'm one of many new Design Team members for an awesome scrap challenge blog called
if you need some inspiration with your girly pages check it out. Monthy challenges with lots of prizes when you play along. I can't wait, it'll certainly keep me on my scrapping toes with scrapping and sharing more regularly.

Until Next time,
Happy Creating

Warning!!! Huge,,,,, catch-up

I know, I know,,,,, MIA again. My poor blog, as usual, it's been neglected. You better grab a cuppa because this post is going to be a lllloooooonnnnnnngggg one. ;)

Life's been busy as usual. I'll give you the gist and try and make it brief,,,
Here goes
We've moved again, yep again. Hopefully we'll be here for a long time. Unfortunately that's how it goes when renting. It's just me, Rick and Locky most of the time,  with Liam popping home every now and again, so we keep a bedroom for him.
We started a business from home, so that means I work from home and that keeps me very busy, along with all the normal Domestic Goddess duties (some being neglected I might add). I'll be mentioning the business lots. You can see what it's all about Here Some of you that have been following me for some time my recognize the name :) and the blog with lots and lots of inspiration Here

The business is called -

Cadence my granddaughter has turned 3, how time flies. She's a little character and I'm still totally besotted with her. So brace yourself for lots of photo sharing again. She lights up my life every time I see or hear her. She a little joy and a very girly girl. She's into handbags, jewelry, she loves dress ups, enjoys shopping, especially if it involves something for her and she adores Ana & Elsa, the girls from Frozen (what little girl doesn't?). She loves her Dede (that's me) and loves to sleep over or visit as often as she can. I still get nothing much done when she's around, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Please Note - No fluffy puppies were harmed in any way while these photos were taken by Uncle Liam
So life's pretty much gone on as normal in the Underwood household, normal ups and downs of life. Everyone is well and healthy, thank goodness.

On the creative front. I've been scrapping as much as I get time for.  Like most of you, more time and mojo would definitely be appreciated.
Our new business is aimed mainly at  the paper craft, scrap booking and card creators. We laser cut chipboard pieces, mostly all our own designs.
It's been a challenge cleaning out the cobwebs in this aging brain but I'm quite proud of my self and Rick for learning as much as we have. It's only a small business and growing slowly.

Well I said I'd try and make it a brief post, that was mainly the writing, but because it's been a while since I shared any layouts I though I'd fill the rest of the post with some creations from the last few months.
Hope you find some creative inspiration as you look.

How awesome for me and feeling very thankful, I've been published in not one but two magazines this month. Both super special for different reasons.

Australian Scrapbook Ideas is one of Australia's leading scrap booking and paper craft magazine and I'm proud to have my work published in this magazine. This edition is more exciting than most because,,,, well,,,,, because of the cover, yes!!! That's my girl, on my layout, on the front, my beautiful daughter Erin.. Very proud indeed :)
Inside there is lots of 'How To' articles including my feature on 'Hidden Journaling'. Grab it at you news agency now. Or even better Subscribe Here

The other reason it's so special is it's full of Your Creative Wings products, designed by Me!! So very exciting to see something I designed in print :)

Here's a close up of the layouts featured, for instructions on how to do them, check out the Australian Scrapbook Ideas.
