Lavender Hues - Journal

Hi there with another journal. I started by covering the album with the new ARToptions Viken Fabric Tape. Using the tape did make for a great and quick way to decorate the album. It was the inside that took that little bit longer. Once I had applied the fabric tape to the entire album I reinforced each end of the tape with some glue for added durability, especially where it met the folds of the album.

I covered some foam letters using paper from the ARToptions Viken 12x12 Collection pack and glued them in place. To make the fabric bow I used a long strip of the ARToptions Viken Fabric Tape, the widest tape. I folded it in half length ways so it stuck to itself. Made up the bow and stuck it in place with hot glue.

I cut pages for each section of the album from the ARToptions Viken 12x12 Collection pack, along with strips so I could adhere the pages together to form booklets. I mad three for inside the album.

I decorated the pages with pockets and little tuck spots for mini decorated pads of paper for extra journaling, for tags and ephemera from various packs that matched my theme. The journal pages were decorated and embellished with all sorts of 49 and Market goodies that also complimented the ARToptions Viken Collection. I made tabs from tickets, washi tape, emphemera, fabric tape and more. I cut tags from leftover trimmed pages, added rub on transfers and coloured thread.

The ARToptions Viken 12x12 Rub on Transfers and divine and made pages pop with colour and design.

I used a variety of Rub on transfers from the collection of transfers in 49 and Markets range throughout the a Journal. These really made the extra doilies and lined paper I added for journaling so much prettier.

I'm not sure if I will gift this journal but I do know I really enjoyed the process and am already making another. This little creation and it's entries will be protected for ever more by the hard cover and the beautiful lavender hues.

Stay Here

Hi, here to share a creation using 49 and Market's beautiful products from the NEW ArtOptions Viken 12x12 Collection Pack, with a hint of Spectrum Sherbet Tidal Wave product. Which I must say blended beautifully with Viken.
I started with a plain white base as I wanted to showcase the beautiful Artoptions Viken 12x12 Rub on Transfers. Well!! they ended up being covered every so slightly but where a great base for my layout in the end and I didn't need to tuck too many rub-ons here and there once finishing off because small amounts of the original ones peeked through perfectly.

Using the ArtOptions Viken Ephemera Bits I chose the large ledger paper sheet in the deep purple colour. I glued this in place then layered other sheets from the pack followed by the the fussy cut ledger piece from the ArtOptions Viken 12x12 Collection Pack. I really don't like fussy cutting so I chose the larger pieces and the butterflies. Give me the laser cut pieces any day lol!! Lucky for me I used a combination of both here.
I matted my photo on white card. The piece has been cut using a die cut, that's how the little stitching is done on the edge.
I added mounting tape to the back of the Arched doors from the Ephemera Bits pack and stuck it in place. Positioned the matted photo and stuck that in place. The little ornate frame is also from the Ephemera Bits. I added foam tape to the back of this and stuck it in place.

From the ArtOptions Viken 6x8 Rub-On Transfer Set I chose the 'Stay Here' words and rubbed them onto some acetate, cut it to size and suck it over the ornate frame.
Yes, I know I complain about fussy cutting!! And can't quite believe I did so much for this layout, but I loved the images and if I was to be honest, it was just a tad relaxing. So I did some more! I did have to put a stronger pair of glasses on to do so, but I got there in the end 😁 and before I knew it I'd cut everything out. I glued the larger of the floral piece to the bottom right of the ornate frame and evenly tucked the leaves and extra flowers around the photo and centre layered card. I then chose matching coloured leaves from the  Spectrum Sherbet - Tidal Wave Laser Cut Elements and evenly glued them in place. I then tucked some Spectrum Sherbet - Tidal Wave Laser Cut flowers here and there, to the left of the photo, some to the front, some tucked behind and between layers. I then added some laser cut leaves from the same pack here and there, followed by some fussy cut flowers.

I used the hot glue gun to add the butterflies, some fussy cut, some laser cut and some acetate butterflies from the Spectrum sherbet - Tidal Wave Acetate Leaves pack. To finish I used the word 'Happiness' from the waste strip of a 12x12 sheet of paper below the photo and dotted some extra rub-ons from the ArtOptions Viken 6x8 Rub-On Transfer Set here and there.
