'She' Party, I mean 'Tea party'

What a delightful, evening myself and the ladies enjoyed on Wednesday. (trying on my most posh of voices,,,, *giggle*)
It was the last of the classes for my 'She' journal. I have to say it has been the most enjoyable class, the girls were all beautiful and their journals were inspirational. I brought my camera along, but guess what? the batteries went flat and I didn't get all the pics I wanted :0(
It was just like tea at Nanna's.
Miss Mel brought along her beautiful teacups and teapots.

Tea taste's much better in a china cup. And there was plenty of sweet treats to go round.

I couldn't think of a better way to spend a Wednesday evening.

I had intended to get photo's of all the girls journals but with the batteries going flat I wasn't able to. I will share later, it's off to work now, have a great day.

Just popping in to say Hi!!

Hi!
It's Sunday evening here and all is quiet in the house, Rick and Locky are out and Liam is up stairs, I can hear the occasional roar of some computer game he's playing but other than that all is quiet. I'm surrounded by my ever faithful pets.

Shadow, who's insisting on sitting on my lap and is demanding I put my arm down from typing at the keyboard so he has a pillow to rest his head on.

Tom, who was practically sitting on the keyboard 5mins ago, right in front of the monitor, making it very hard to type. I've fed him now so he's happy on the floor.

And beautiful old Pippy who I adore and is never far from my side, she's snoring her head off on her beanbag next to me.

Not to much creating this week, thought I'd share this though, it's my Art Tree, I'm still working on it and have been for a while, one of those projects 'For Art Sake', so it gets shoved to the side often. It's was inspired by the talented Jenny, when I seen the one she created.

Jenny also inspired me to make some birds nest, this has now caused a little obsession with me atm (thanks Jen) :0), wire work, I can't get enough of it, especially bird cages.
This is one of my earlier ones, which was a class at Scraptivate a couple of weeks ago.

Well typing is getting a little hard as Shadow is still insisting on been loved and wants my arm, yes I've tried to get rid of him but anyone who owns a cat will know how insistent they can be,,,

I know,,'It's been 10days since my last post'. :0)

Where is the time going??? Gosh.
Thought I better pop in and share.
This month's newsletter for Helmar is out, so go over and check it out.
My project this month was inspired by my friend Viv and a little gift she gave me some time back.

I love the vivid colours she uses in her art, blues especially, as blue is my favorite colour.

Love the two tone weave.

Got carried away with the silver embossing powder :0)

Love Helmar's 2 step Crackle.

Gosh!!

Well a very uneventful and fast week, it's amazing as to how when you were a child, (well for me), time seemed to go very slowly and I remember my Mum always saying "gosh, time flies" and me thinking 'my day didn't go fast' and how silly she sounded, but her words keep ringing in my ears and every time I say it I see Mum and say to myself 'you sound like your mother' and time does fly. LOL
Spent some of the week creating but completed nothing, so don't have anything to share. I am excited though with my creations. Mel, Max, and myself have been altering paper mache angels and they look awesome, Mel is the only one of the three of us who has completed one of her small ones, so hopefully we can share soon.
I've been doing some wire work and having a ball doing it, so I have sore finger tips.

This is a little sneak peek at some of the type of wire work and a class I'm doing at Scraptivate soon.
I also got to spend some quality time with my girl, we had our hair done together and had lunch. Gee she's a beautiful soul. I enjoyed every minute of it, even if I caved at the till at the hairdresser's and paid for both our hair do's. *s*

'Blink'

I blinked, and the holiday's have gone. I love school holidays and we have just had two weeks of them here. Locky went back to school today.
Apart from the days I go to work, things are pretty relaxed in the house, we let the days fall into place.
So, I have the house to myself today, well me and Pip and the cats. I'm trying to find my inner domestic Goddess,,,, LOL,,, so I can get some much needed cleaning done, but I think she may still be on holidays.
Thought I'd share a little creation I did last week, I had a play with Glimmer Mists, Radiant Rain daubers (loving these atm) and got the good old UTEE out which I haven't played with for ages.

Howdy!!

Very busy the last few days, work Saturday, taught Sunday and work today. The house is falling down around me,,,,,,LOL and all I want to do is, get to some serious creating, but hey, don't we all.
I thought I'd share these canvas' with you, that I created for my bedroom wall, I think Rick was a little surprised with the colour, as I always tend to use vintage, rustic tones, I also did a little canvas for Helmar which I can't share just yet, that was in the same tones.

And here's a little peek at something else I've been working on.

Morning!!

Haven't been near the computer much of late, been closer to the craft table, I know that's a good thing, right??? Still struggling with the flow of creative juices a little. I know lots of you are the same, to switch from, Mum, wife, working both in the home and outside of home and being not to good at letting go of stress there is always going to be some sort of creative block to get rid of. It's now school holidays here in WA and we have just had a long weekend also, so Rick was home for 3 whole days in a row. We decided to spend Sunday doing what we wanted to do,(I work Saturdays) so he, Locky and myself spent the day in the art room/computer room, all of us doing what we wanted in each others company, which was nice. Got to tell you though it must of taken all of 5 hours for the juices to kick in, come time for tea they were just starting to flow. But hey you get that, at least they showed up. Didn't really accomplish much but was thankful for the time.
Thought I would share this little project that I did for Helmar recently.
The Calender pages come ready to fill in with date and month and whatever else tickles your fancy, from Collections.
A desk top calendar for Father's day. It would also make an ideal Christmas gift.

Got some more creating that's been done, but have to take the photos yet, so I'll be back soon to share.
