Fly Be Free

Collections Bracket Frame Journal.

I love these photos of Erin my daughter and the Theme of the journal was 'Fly be Free', she will be 21 this year and is along her own path, building her own life story.

Bad Blogger (said with sarcastic 'telling off' voice)

I've been sick this week, so haven't got to much creating done :0(
Thought I would share some other creations I've created for Julie from Collections, before our Sydney trip.

I used one of her Narrow Bracket Books. The patterened paper throughout the book is also Collections. The chipboard bird is one of hers also, the wren. It was covered using Scraptivate german scrap. Starting at the bottom of the bird and working up, placing each strip over the other so the points of the pattern sit in between each other,, yep crazy, I know. I inked over it and the edges using Pinecone ink. Place a bit of gauze between the wing and the body of the bird. Use a Zig pen to place a dot for the eye and blacken a beak.

In The Bag

The new Scrapbooking Creations is out.
My beautiful friend Vivian asked myself and Miss Mel, to contribute to an article she had for the mag, 'it's out',,, you have to check it out. You can check out the girls blogs (just click on their names) and hopefully they will share real soon. We created some awesome handbags using the art supplies in our creative space.
This is my effort, the pics aren't great as usual I was in a rush when I took them.
:0)
I had already started the dying process when the idea of doing a 'before and after' photo came up, so you will have to use your creative minds eye with this shot. The bag was a blue with white dots one made of hessian and I used Colour wash to dye it, the wash even dyed the bamboo handle which was a bonus.

After 14 or so hours of hand stitching (and I couldn't find the thimble)this is what the end result was.
