Sweet Times

Hi,here once again with another layout using the beautiful bright tones of  49 and Markets Spectrum Sherbet Collection. I used the Spectrum Sherbet - Classics - Brumbleberry paper from the Spectrum Sherbet - 12x12 Sherbet Classics Pack as my base paper and found the exact paper in the Spectrum Sherbet - 6x8 Strawberry Lemonade Paper Collection. I matted this with a very thin frame of white card just so you could distinguish it from the back as I used the landscape piece and matched it to the colours in the back round.adhered this to the main page but only in the centre, using some layered foam pieces to give it height. I do this so I can tuck more behind later and if need be add more tape at the end.

I matted two photos on white card leaving a thin framing of white. I chose a frame from the Spectrum Sherbet - Strawberry Lemonade Frame Set and trimmed the third photo 1/2cm smaller than the frame. I cut a piece of Solid Raspberry from the 6x8 pack slightly bigger than the frame. Stuck the frame on that with mounting tape, applied tape to the back of the photo, stuck that in the centre of both and then all to the main page. I again used mounting tape and stuck the two side photos in place

You may be wonder what small print paper is used in the background, well that's actually the packaging from the Strawberry Lemonade Laser Cut Elements. I ripped an edge on it and tuck pieces behind the white card. I embossed a piece from the Remnants pack ripped an edge and tucked it behind the bottom left photo and the main photo. Along the way I've tucked laser cut pieces, including the lace laser cut pieces, which I adore and ephemera bits behind photos and card.to the right of the main photo I've positioned a chipboard index shape with words and one of the new Mini Index Clips. To the left of the main photo I've tuck some tags behind the photo and placed a rub on transfer from the Spectrum Sherbet - 6x8 Botanicals Rub-On Transfer Set. There is also some rub on words and design on chipboard pieces to the right of the main photo.

I layered different elements to the bottom right of the main photo until I was happy and glued them in place.

To finish off I place lots of Butterflies from Spectrum Sherbet - Strawberry Lemonade - Acetate Leaves pack across the layout. I wanted them to look like they were just floating over the layout. The trick to keeping the wings up is to use hot glue. Fold the butterfly and put a tiny amount of glue on the wrong side on the body of the butterfly. The acetate will immediately soften with the heat. While it's still hot place the butterfly in position and gently let the wings fall into position but hold them in place until the glue sets a bit. Have a practice, it's really quite easy.

Joyful - Layout

Right from when I first saw  the 49 and Market Spectrum Sherbet Collection it made me feel happy. The beautiful bright tones just came forth and are perfect for all the fun photos I have of my granddaughter Cadence. I bought her a unicorn onesie last year and of course we had to grab some photos of her in it. I've been waiting for the right paper and had way too much choice from Spectrum.

I chose Spectrum Sherbet - Painted Foundations - Kaleidoscope paper as my base and the circle design helped when putting the layout together. I used a compass to draw circles on pattern paper from Spectrum Sherbet 12x12 Sherbet Foundations Pack. I distressed the edges and placed them in the centre of the main page but only attached tape to the centre of each circle so that as usual I could tuck tags and bits and pieces behind if I wanted to.
I matted each photo on Spectrum Sherbet - Solid - Cotton Candy and distressed the edges. I attached them to the layout with foam tape for height. Only the centre back of the paper is stuck down so that I could tuck extras behind if need be.
I glued half a view finder from the Spectrum Sherbet - Strawberry Lemonade Ephemera Bits to the left of the main photo. It ended up mainly behind the main photo in the end so you couldn't really see it but you can see the pop of pink. The other half was blued under the circle to the bottom right of that photo.
I then tucked strips of Spectrum Sherbet - Remnants to the right side of the main photo. Then went about tucking tags, tickets, lace etc from Spectrum Sherbet - Essential Laser Cut Elements, the Tag Set and the Ephemera Bits. I made some Pinkened end tags from ephemera and the Cotton Candy paper and tucked them under the laser cut lase, below the main photo. I added the small view finder with some pieces and words from the ephemera pack to the bottom right of the main photo and to finish off I dotted some stitch rub-on transfer lines and extra stars here and there including the background along with some strip words and the chippy word 'Joyful' from the Spectrum Sherbet - Chipboard Words. The Chippy tab to the right of the main photo is from the Spectrum Sherbet - Chipboard Pieces.
