What a Hoot!!

Julie's done it again. I'm in love with these little guys, so much fun to play with, they come in a pack of three (I think!) and she even has a little pic in there to help you put them together. You can get them at the shop. The wise owl, I made as a magnet and a thankyou gift for Locky's teacher. And the Lacey one was just a little bit of art for art's sake. I have a few more on the go and will share them when I get some photos taken.
Off to work now to help pay for my habbit,, LOL.
Have a Hoot of a day.

Definately technologically challenged???

Yep that's me. LOL
Just can't work out what has happened to my blog banner/title,,, :0(

Well I hope you all had a lovely Christmas.
Mine was wonderful, but exhausting. The lead up was hurried and flustered, with last minute preparations, one brings on, one's self, swearing never again!!! But of course the following year being just like the previous.
Each year my sister and I take turns in hosting Christmas for the rest of the family in our homes. It was my turn this year.
We have this unwritten,(don't know how it came about)competition each year as to who can out-do the hostess' table decorations from the previous year. All done with the most loving sibling rivalry and fun of course.
This is what I came up with for this year,,,,, (eat your heart out Les,,,,LMAO,,,, Love you,,,,)
It starts with a little help from Locky and Rick at the local park, we needed branches from gum trees, preferably with some gum nuts in tack and ones mother nature and the wind helped to hit the ground, we weren't disappointed. My only worry on the return drive home was that we would be pulled over by the police for having a wide load. As seen here,,,LOL

I'm in there somewhere.

Thought it only to right that I sit in the back rather than subject Locky to scratches and grazes from the twigs, besides we wouldn't of heard the end of it all the way home.

He thought his new pet snake looked fab amongst the branches, (it looks good for a fake one :0)

Two cans of matt white spray paint, two cans of fake snow spray and half a tub of gesso. And of course mine and Rick's efforts and sweat (it was a 38degree day), we had a great result.

The theme was silver and white. The twiggs have wire with little crystal stars intertwined with the round crystal lights, it looked great in the dark.
Roll on next year, Lesley,,,, LOL.

Got a load to share.

MIA again... busy, busy, busy,,, just like everyone else. I got a few minutes to share some creations.
I did this layout of Erin, before news of her move, a few weeks ago. My favourite range of the most recent Basic Grey papers, Periphery.
The other was a bit of a challenge set, to use the Basic Grey Obscure,,(didn't end up using much LOL) Locky got to hang out with the big boys, Liam and his mates took him jet skiing at Oceanreef,he loved it. the photos were taken by Liam and his mates, Liam may not like his photo taken, but he is now starting to take shots for me,even setting the photo up, along with these photo's he took some ones of Locky on the rocks, telling Locky they were for mum.
I have a few things to share so I will be posting a bit over today and the weekend.

Check out that Luggage

It's getting to that time of year again. I feel like I am playing catch-up with myself.
I've had lots of friends ask how Erin is getting on so I thought I would let you know.
She is having a ball, met up with lots of new friends in the first few days, seemed to be going out to dinner, drinks, coffee lots and meeting with some friends she had met online. She had 3 interviews on the first day in Melbourne and had a choice of 2 jobs. She took one in a brand new restaurant that has only just opened, last week, and is slowly getting the hours she wants. She loves her flat and is on the hunt for a bed as she is still sleeping on the couch. So I guess she is staying for a bit. :0(
No!! I'm fine, I really miss her, but still want her to be having a ball and she is.
Thought I'd share some photo's of the day she left.
My mojo is on a go slow,, so I am feeling a bit frustrated, but hopefully it will return soon.
Sending Love

Ho, Ho, Ho

The Dove one would have to be my favourite so far, it is detachable, so the receiver can take it off the card and hang it on the Christmas tree.
I've got one more class of a series of cards to teach at
Scraptivate and that's it, how time flies. And I was only just getting use to making Xmas cards in non-traditional colours :0(
For those local girls we are having a Christmas card crop at the shop next Friday night. The main aim is for those who attend to get their Christmas cards made and I'm there on hand to give you some ideas if you get stuck. Of course you don't have to do cards, you can just come and create, but that is the main aim of the night.

some more Merryment!!

It's begining to look like Christmas

Thought I'd share some xmas card creations. I did these for classes at the shop. Feel free to email if you need some instructions. audrey.underwood@iinet.net.au
Have a great weekend.

This is a microscope slide holder seperated into three. Looks very flat in the magazine.

Microscope slides coloured using alcohol inks, stuck to white card stock(the lighter background shows off the colours better)using dimensional magic. then the rub-ons were applied.

Leaving on a Jet Plane, don't know when She'll be Back Again.

Thats my baby girl, She flew out on Tuesday night for 'adventure' and to slay dragons (long story) but that's what I say when I get asked 'Why'? She's gone to live in Melbourne for a bit.
I am still getting over it, don't know if I will, but today I came to the realization that - I gave her wings, encouraged her to be an individual and to be an independent women and that she is. I just hope she finds contentment and what she wants and comes back and settles in the West.
So I am fighting lots of mixed feelings atm.
I love you Erin 'unconditionally',,,, 'Fly Be Free'.
