My third piece this month for Dusty Attic
Using the two beautiful muses in my life. Erin, my daughter and her daughter Cadence. This was on Erin's wedding day last year.
The layout was inspired by this month's Sketch Challenge by Mistrs at the Dusty Attic Ning Page

A layout
My second project for Dusty Attic was a layout.
The last couple of years have gone by so fast, it's scarey. We've been through so much (most in a good way). I'll bore you with details and some pics in some more posts later ;-)
One of the best things I've been blessed with in that time was my first Grandchild, Cadence Amelia. Oh my goodness how one little creature has totally changed my life is unbelievable. How could I not use my new muse and one of the reasons I found my creative soul again, in my first layout for 2013
This is her at 6mths.
Dusty's New Release for January 2013 is out and I got to play with some pieces.
One of those new pieces is the Moroccan Border
Now for those that know my work, you might have thought after 2 years I may of gotton over my white and shabby obsession, sorry, wrong, couldn't help myself. I still love my rustic aged look also but when it comes to babies I couldn't resist the usual, I just had to paint the border white using Dusty Attics Navajo White acrylic paint DA 0903 and of course distress it.
I also used the following products from Dusty
Mini Vine
Words
Vintage Name Plate
Some closer looks
These are part of the Dusty in Bloom range of flowers. Bridal Veil
Mini Vine
Vintage Name Plate
The little ornate piece you can see near the border is also part of the Vintage Name Plate
Here's a sneak peek at something I'm working on at the moment.
Till next time,
Happy Creating

Holiday Mode
...and I love it.
Wishing you all a Happy Creative and Safe New Year.
My 2013 is off to a great start, I hope yours is too. My creative soul is being fed again, it feels so good. I'm in a very happy place in my life right now and I hope it continues. Life brings highs and lows and we are responsible for our own feelings. If your not feeling the best please reach out to someone and ask for help even if it's just a chat.
I found myself wanting to spend some time at the creative table but didn't make the time. I needed a push to create again.
And here it is, I love the intracacy of their chipboard and all the other goodies they supply and I'm looking forward to the creative year ahead with them and the other talented designers.
My first challenge was an ACT
I like to create depth on most pieces I work on, I think I may have gone a little OTT (over the top) on such a small surface, but it was fun and sometimes, a girls got to do what a girls got to do - go a little OTT! Being a restricted working surface, Dusty’s smaller pieces are perfect, like the Mini Vine. The other small pieces were cut from one of Dusty Attics brand new release products, flower Buds. I create depth by raising the pieces using foam tape or one of my favourite glues, Liquid Scrap Dots by Helmar and mounting words on foam tape or chipboard.
The Dusty Attic products used on here are; Flower Buds - DA0849 Mini Vine - DA0370
