Can you believe it, it's May already. Each time I sit to do a blog post I can't believe how the time has flew. I'm beginning to think I'm never going to catch you all up on what I've been up to the last couple of years. I'm going to relieve myself of the pressure to do that and hope that one day I'll get to it.
I do hope though that the creative posts I share each month will inspire some of you to do something for yourselves and spend some time creating. I truly believe it's food for the soul.
I'd like to share with you more Dusty Attic creations. You can find the products HERE You can visit the blog HERE to see what everyone else has been up to.
This month's theme for the ATC's is Art Deco.
During its heyday Art Deco represented luxury, glamour, exuberance, and faith in social and technological progress. Building became more angular with curves. You can still see buildings with a strong Art Deco influence around these days.
Woman became braver with fashion and etiquette. They cut their hair and even became smokers in public.
The images above came from Google Images.
My inspiration came from the glam of Old Hollywood, the pin curls and finger waves women wore in their hair. The angles and curves in the buildings and the highly polished veneer of the furniture.

Some more May projects featuring Dusty Attic Dusty Attic products.
This piece was made as a gift for a very special person's birthday, my sister Lesley and was another work in progress project, made over the last few weeks. It's for her coffee table and the box contains glass coasters. I've used the new Dusty houses and other Dusty goodies.
Now you might need your sunnies for this one, its a bright one. When I scrapbook a photo I let the photo guide me as to what to use etc. Being a bright fun photo I couldn't not go bright. The layout was actually based on last months Sketch.
My best friends daughter got married late last year and her bridesmaids organised her a themed Hen's day. The theme being Disney. Here's me as Minnie Mouse and Erin as the beautiful Snow White.
