Love

My turn up on the 49 and Market blog again with a layout using another of the new release paper from 49 and Market - Vintage Artistry - Sky, released at Creativation 2020.
I used a thin mat around the photo in white card, leaving more card showing along the bottom edge, which I ripped rather than trimmed.
The photo is of my daughter Erin on her wedding day. I was lucky enough to get to play with the new release and to have my layout as part of the display at Creativation. I have scrapped this photo before, it's one of my favourites of her. I thought it perfect for this paper and the display.

The subtle green tones in the paper were brought out by using green flowers from 49 and Market

I tend to keep working on embellishment corners until I feel they're done. A little bit here and a little bit there. Until I feel the layout is balanced. I'll cut up bits of chippy and glue it in place. Cut a flower in half, if I need to and let it poke out from somewhere.
I don't like things too flat, I like to give things life. So dragonflies and butterflies wings need to look like they are in flight. So I add a curve to the wings.

Part of the embellishments used on my page is from the Serendipitous Collection
I've fallen in love with these and all of the beautiful die cuts. Genius!!,,, I love myself a little fussy cutting now and again, but the fact that 49 and Market have got such fine detail already cut, to pop out and use instantly is insane!!! And not only that they have given you elements on the page so that you can layer. Even little arrows to tell you just which ones were designed to layer..... Love, love, love :0)
