Omgollygosh!!! The Vintage Artistry Collectors Edition Volume 2 is unbelievable!. This is the first of a few creations made using the pack. It's jam packed full of prettiness!! As soon as I received the collection I was inspired to create. Here is a playful, whimsical layout with a hint of Easter thrown in. I'm loving my little paper dolls at the moment so I've given them their own little story.
To Create the layout I started with Vintage Artistry Lilac - Gestural from the pack but you can also buy this separately. After choosing the window frames from the laser cuts in the pack I added strips of Vintage Artistry Lilac washi also in the pack to the paper, positioning it so it can be seen through the window. I added about three layers of foam tape to the back of the frame, chose my paper doll, added washi to give her a stripped skirt and mounted her in position, then stuck down the window frames. I added extra washi to the back paper, over the image of washi. In a moment of madness I fussy cut {I don't like fussy cutting!} the large pink flowers from the Vintage Artistry Blush - Radiate paper. I used them on both sides of the layout but when finished only a pop of hot pink could be seen and I was ok with that, to be honest the fussy cutting on the day was quite therapeutic. Using my hot glue I made the floral arrangement to the right of the frame adding laser cuts, muslin and thread as I went. To the left of the window frame I added the picket fence from the Curators Botanical Laser cut Elements and mounted it in place, tucking flowers, leaves, thread and muslin behind it. I weaved some laser cuts, flowers and leaves in and behind the window frame also.
I made a little collection of tape, clock & lace laser cuts, with flowers, thread and muslin for my sitting paper doll to perch on. To finish I added little strips of Curators Essential - Curators - Washi Tape Stitched Set here and there along with the third paper doll and bunnies on leads, mounted the words 'choose Happiness' and hot glued that in place.
