Where is the Year going.

Oh my goodness, it's flown in.
Another busy week in the Underwood household, all systems go. My baby turns 21 this week,,,, Gosh!!!

And some how I got convinced to have her party here at home,,, OMG, even though I had the full guarantee I wouldn't have to do much,,, yer right LOL. My sister said she would do it with a friend, I've been nicknaming the two of them the 'wedding planners', organizing and planning. Neither of them have daughters and reckon it will be the only time they get to do the 21st thing glam style, so that's it the theme is Glam, marquee, mirror balls, dance floor and maybe a couple of chandeliers too. I'll say it again,,, OMG, what have I got myself into???? They still haven't come to cob web, weed, sweep and make the place look presentable, oh that's right, that's up to me. LOL along with the cake cooking, shopping, ect, just kidding girls, love you.!!!
Actually secretly (just between us) I am looking forward to it. I'll let you know how it all went next week.

On the creative front, haven't done to much other than get some last minute (that's my middle name atm) pages done for Erin's album.
My 'She' inspiration journal class went off really well.

They did something like this, some cutting, masking, we used Glimmer mists, tintz and I through some other techniques in there too. Everyone seemed to have a ball, a really lovely bunch of girls.

A wee bit excited and a little nervous...

Tomorrow night is the start of my 'She' inspiration journal class.
A little book by Compendium which I keep close to my heart.
I love many of their other books also, but if you know me or maybe you may have noticed, I love the 'She' quotes from this book and have found much inspiration for my work in them.

So the idea of this class is to hopefully inspire other women, using the 'She' book and the techniques, little bits and pieces I like to use in my work. I love collage so here is a sneak peek into some of the artwork we will be up to during the 6 classes.

Wet washing hanging on the line,,, oh and a bit of collage,,, LOL

Take Care

Creative Block

I'm stuck,,,, 'I'm opening myself up to an unlimited flow of creativity', from the universe, (this is a little saying I have up near my work space) , but the universe is not listening, well it is, I'm sure, it's just something is blocking the flow,,, LOL.
*yelling* 'get out of the way', I've got work to do. LOL
It was JVO's birthday this week and Tad her partner organized a surprise party for her (I will share some pic's later). Some of us girls from Scraptivate made her a large canvas with 156 of her tiles (Collections tiles), decorated mostly with her products, eg, papers, chipboard, words ect. It turned out unbelievable, if I don't say so myself. Now us girls are making one for ourselves. This pic is part of one I've done for myself which will be a class at Scraptivate later this year.

Ok,,, Have a lovely day!
I'm off to see to some Domestic Goddess duties and hopefully some creating after that.

Finally

A Post!!
:0)
Busy, busy, busy, is it ever any other way???
'Scrap-it' was fabulous,,,only to be bigger and better next year. I can't remember the final amount of funds raised. So if anyone knows, let me know so I can share. I didn't bring my camera (I'm hopeless at taking pics without my tripod) so Mel took these and shared,, thanks Mel. xx
Mel, Max and myself got to the hotel just after lunch and proceeded to rearrange the room, while the Sheraton hotel staff got us an extra table and extra chairs. We didn't think to take a 'before' photo. We did something like this,,

We arrived at the hotel dressed to impress, but behind close doors the comfy clothes came out,,,,,,,, our p.j's. (Max was also in this photo, but my life would have been at risk if I didn't crop her out,, LOL).

The view at Sunset, the hills, the WACA, the Swan River and Burswood.

The Bath Bombshells,,,, LMAO,, 'as if'

Part of the 'Scrap-it' room and the girls hard at work.

SCRAP-IT

Just a reminder

Scrap-it, is the closet Perth is getting to a scrapping convention for now, with a bonus, that the funds raised go to a great cause, research in Alzheimer's.
I'm off there this weekend,it's going to be a blast. Max, Mel and myself are staying at the venue the night before, arriving about midday to scrap the rest of the day and evening away in our hotel room. The idea came about from Lis a customer from work who is doing the same thing with her buddies,,,, I'm a bit excited!!!!!!!!!!
Scrap-it is on Sunday, maybe you can still book if you want to come.

Woohhooooooooo!!! roll on tomorrow, now off to pack.

I'll try take some pics and will share next week, Have a great weekend.

And I thought no one read my blog :0)

Thanks for all your loving support. I have had some lovely messages in regards to my last post. Liam is doing fine, we're keeping a close eye on him. He doesn't talk much about anything, even before the accident.

My three children are all so different to each other and Liam is the one thats not into affection (and that's ok) but he's getting kisses and hugs everyday whether he likes it or not LOL. I just tell him I need the cuddle. :0)

To Love and Be Loved is the greatest joy on Earth.

Thanks for all your lovely comments on my work.
We've had a couple of rough weeks in the Underwood house, but its on the mend now.
You often hear people say, you don't know what you have until you loose it. (or nearly loose it).
The Lord and the universe was looking down on us recently. My eldest boy Liam,
That's him on the right towering over his Dad.

was involved in a tragic accident a couple of weeks ago now, in my car. He had worked a days work and was heading to a volley ball match, when he collided with a motorbike at a traffic light intersection near home. Unfortunately the young motorcyclist was killed and my heart goes out to his Mother and the rest of his family and friends. We all had an agonising few days waiting to hear the out come of the accident and praise God, Liam was not at fault. This did make his burden a little lighter but it is still the loss of a young life and something he will have to live with for the rest of his life. We are keeping a close eye on our big boy and as much as he drives me absolutely batty at times my heart goes out to him too. It was hard to see him in the ambulance and in the emergency ward, a big wake up call for all of us. He is physically fine, thank goodness.
So give you kids a big hug and thank the universe for everything you have.

Sending love your way
Audrey. x

Nearly Forgot my Password

it's been that long.
I really don't know how those that blog regularly keep it up. Oh' well,,,, Been doing a little creating of late, not a lot though. The last couple of days I have had a little creator's block, you know how it goes. Have so many things under construction that I really could finish. (trying not to use the 'should' word, (it's supposed to be a more positive, less pressure way to say could, all the same to me though,,,, LOL)).
Anyway just thought I would pop on here while the spag bol is simmering.

Happy Birthday this week to my two Gemini friends, for earlier this week Kelsey and Jenny.

Scraptivate's latest newsletter is now out, click Here to view it.
We have these great paper mache trunks in three different sizes and paper mache pots and I got to alter them as my DT project.

Well the spaghetti is well and truly cooked.

Sending Love
Have a great weekend.
